We will employ an Anesthesia specialist to handle patients undergoing surgery and provide pain relief—report on recovery and treatment.
Roles and Responsibilities
* They create an anesthesia plan.
* They ensure that patients are fully informed about what to expect during and after the operation.
* They must be able to prepare patients for surgery. They must provide safe pre-operative care and anesthesia. They should be able to provide pain relief for patients with anesthetics or analgesics. They can continue anesthesia in the operating room if necessary.
* They monitor patients under anesthesia to ensure they are in stable condition.
* They should monitor their blood pressure, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, breathing, and temperature. * They must be able to stabilize and revitalize patients in an emergency. They should be able to manage and reverse anesthesia.
* They must provide pain management services for chronic pain patients.
* They must be able and willing to collaborate with other health professionals, such as surgeons, operating room practitioners, and theatre nurses, and ensure patient well-being. They are responsible for administrative tasks related to patient care. This includes summaries of patient treatment, writing discharge letters, and other duties.
* They must participate in an on-call rota and share equal responsibility for providing emergency coverage.
* They should be able to teach, supervise, and train more junior staff in critical care and anesthesia.
